The restaurant here offers a particularly good menu with delicious dishes. the location in a very open area was exceptionally nice and easy to access. - There are shopping centers and supermarkets nearby. - It is relatively close to a casual strip mall and other sights in Lapu-Lapu City.

Nothing - it was a complete rip-off!

Don't even consider staying there! It is ugly, old, overcrowded and no value for the money you spent. The management holds company events at the resort the entire weekend, with lound stupid music played non-stop in all parts of the premises. The first room we were given had an air-con from the 1980's which only made noise but did not provide any cold air. The bathroom war dirty and the water from the tab was brown! The beach is very small and overcrowded, the water sports centre overcharges for what is on offer. Worst place we have ever stayed!

A great peaceful and romantic place to stay! Beautiful private beach and pools at the resort. I have nothing bad to say about the resort, if only i could have stayed longer!

Whilst not a luxury hotel, Maribago Bluewater is at the top of it's range. As a location it is quiet and well looked after. I have travelled extensively over the years and the buffet breakfast offered is the best I have experienced in terms of range, quantity and standard of service. I found the entertainment offered bland and uninteresting but that reflects my position as an artiste who enjoys pushing boundaries rather than anything else. It is the entertainment package you would anticipate at this type of venue. The resort is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff are, if anything, too good at looking after the guests. Provided you stay within the hotel you are in a lovely environment and are well looked after.

The problem for Maribago Bluewater (and the other Mactan Island hotels) is the abject poverty of the area in which they are located. On site security levels are high and obvious. This is essential given the situation immediately outside the door.Outside the hotel no one has attacked me or made me feel under threat but I am a very tall, well built man. On leaving the site one is immediately approached by locals offering to supply you with anything (and I do mean 'anything'). This gets tedious. Also the area outside the hotel is not clean/looked after. Inevitably there will be rats, etc. around which might, on occasions, get into the hotels. However in the 20 nights I have stayed at Maribago Bluewater I have only once seen a rat within five yards of the hotel perimeter and have never seen cockroaches or things like that. These comments would relate to any hotel where locals offer services off iste. The only problem I have had within the hotel is the volume of sound emitted by the weekend parties which come onto site. These usually use the beach and island which give guests good protection. When such an event is based in the hotel restaurant area it cannot be avoided. When I stay I tend to book weekdays and arrange a visit to the City on a Saturday.

The room was clean, and the bathroom was very nice except the shower, coz the shower was like a waterfall. The bathroom's atmosphere was nice though. Restaurants and bars were good, but not reasonable price. They helped me to make my mum happy as a surprise, coz it was my mum's birthday. So they gave her a pretty birthday cake with a birthday song. It was very sweet:) Hotel's staffs are friendly and nice. I'd like to stay there again!

The bad point was only the location. Our room was very close to the outside road, so we could hear the noises all the time. It was noisy!

The location of the hotel was secure and just a 10-15 minute walk from Alegrado Island. You can walk to a mall and a supermarket nearby.
